Last night we attended church. The team prepared two songs to sing and Dave Romesburg gave his testimony. Calvin was a great conversation piece and we made instant friends with another family with small kids.
We are right now only 55 miles from Jerusalem. The team has been challenged to read through all four gospels and the book of Acts during the next two weeks while we are here in the Holy Land. Already our experiences have added color to what we are reading.
Today is our first day of Summer Sizzle. We have run into a situation this year that many other organizations and churches are paying people to attend their events. It is the policy of the church that they will not pay for the gospel so as not to be confused with bribery. Additionally there has been some challenges from the government. As a result the church has seen a dramatic decline in attendance over the last three months. Pray for good attendance at Summer Sizzle and that we will be a blessing to those that come. Also pray for the church that the Lord would use them mightily despite the challenges they are facing.
